A man named Aaron Morris and his beloved service dog named Jolene had just moved from Michigan to North Carolina when Aaron decided to make a quick stop at a Dollar General Store on a busy Friday. He believed that nothing out of the ordinary would happen as he left Jolene outdoors to pick up a few items.
Aaron returned from running errands to discover that his car, most of his stuff, and Jolene had been stolen. It turns out that someone was already following Aaron and robbed him when the opportunity presented itself.
The man panicked immediately since he had been with Jolene for six years and had never been apart from her. In a single instant, he had lost both his guardian angel and his best buddy.
Aaron swiftly posted on Facebook about his current situation and revealed that the loss of his best friend had shattered his heart. He told his dog everything, even the most mundane details, and he longed for the return of his beloved pet. The man also stated that he did not care about retrieving his car, wallet, phone, or anything else because Jolene was the only thing that certainly mattered to him.
However, as the days passed, he began to lose faith because he had not heard anything about Jolene.
Fortunately, the Morristown Hamblen Humane Society in Tennessee recently took in a brown Labrador and Pit Bull mix that a concerned resident had abandoned. The dog was found wandering the streets before being brought to the shelter.
The shelter employees observed the dog’s pink collar and the identification tag that said that the dog’s name was Jolene. They promptly dialed the number on the tag, but the call did not go through. The employees posted Jolene’s photo on Facebook in an effort to reunite her with her owner.
Aaron and Jolene were eventually reunited, all thanks to those who contacted him on social media about his dog’s location.
