Would you agree that children and dogs are as compatible as peanut butter and jelly? They are so good together that they can amuse each other for hours on end.
As evidence of how well dogs and children get along, this video of a five-month-old toddler playing with his German Shepherd fur sister is wonderful. Here is a warning, though: this video is packed with a lot of cuteness!
We’re fortunate that proud father Daniel Colvin captured his adorable infant son interacting with their dog Freyja.
As seen in the video, Daniel’s child appeared to be holding one of Freyja’s favorite toys, a plush green pig. Freyja nibbled on it briefly while it was still in the hands of the baby. However, being the sweet dog that she is, she delicately removed the toy from the baby’s grasp.
Freyja adores her new baby brother, but it appeared that she was not quite ready to let him play with her toys on his own. Therefore, she continued to play with him.
Freyja kept the green pig toy in between her teeth and began thrashing it around when she gained complete control of it. She also ensured that she was not too close to her baby brother. It was also interesting to note that the baby continued to giggle and even attempted to grab the item.
Their activity resembled a game of tug-of-war. However, Freyja was the one in charge, not the child.
It seemed like the sweet German Shepherd cannot do anything that her younger brother will not find amusing.
Freyja continued to swing the green pig over the youngster, eliciting a cacophony of squeals and chuckles. Also, it was clear that Daniel is quite a proud father seeing his two kids interact in the most endearing manner from behind the camera.
