Farley knows a thing or two about taking care of farm animals because of his prior experience as a herding dog. Probably because of this, he quickly grew fond of the farm owned by his forever family. And because of his dedication to the animals on the farm, he was later dubbed the farm’s official manager.
Farley is a lovable Australian Shepherd who served as a herding dog until his previous owners could no longer care for him and had to give him away. Although this broke the dog’s heart, he had no idea he was about to enter a new world filled with more chances to develop his skills.
Laura Zaleski, the founder of a rescue shelter, developed a soft spot for the dog because of the happiness he displayed when he was brought to the farm that housed rescue animals. Everyone could see that Farley had found his place in the world.
Laura determined that she would not stand in the way of Farley discovering his renewed purpose, so she adopted him. He was overjoyed that he didn’t have to leave the farm because he felt like he was in his natural habitat.
Farley wanted to let the other animals know that he was there to protect them, despite the fact that the farm’s population consisted of rescued animals. This initially concerned the dog’s new owner, as she feared that Farley would herd them as if they were literal farm animals. Fortunately, Farley showed a caring nature and was willing to assist the animals in recovering from their past trauma.
Now Farley can live the life he always desired as a farm manager. He is doing well right there and has also been very helpful to the many rescued animals that are living there.
Great job, Farley!
