As we already know, dogs help us in a variety of ways. In addition to being our loyal friends, they help those in need and even take up wonderful professions that can make the world a nicer place.
Meet Sarge, a nine-year-old German Shepherd who enjoys assisting individuals in need. Sarge was a grouchy, unattractive puppy until a woman named Cheryl Stephen brought home a fawn named Buckwheat.
If Cheryl Stephen hadn’t seen the deer in the center of the road, he may not have survived. It is unknown what happened to its mother, but with Cheryl’s assistance, the fawn was able to find a safe place to recover.
According to Cheryl, Sarge’s response to Buckwheat was immediate. Sarge wanted to be involved in every aspect of Buckwheat’s care, so he assumed the role of the fawn’s guardian.
Buckwheat was returned to the wild once his health had been restored. Since then, Sarge has taken on the responsibility of caring for orphaned and injured wild fawns. He is always enthusiastic about his profession and fulfills the objective of lavishing compassion on poor animals.
According to Stephen, whenever she enters the house carrying a fawn, Sarge sniffs around frantically. Sarge then assists the fawns and makes them feel at ease by never leaving their side.
Stephen believes that her photographs of Sarge will show many people how kind and affectionate dogs can be. Like humans, they possess a soul. Sarge definitely shows that if a dog can care for and love a deer, so can a human.
His family is quite proud of the wonderful dog that Sarge has become. If you’re a fan of Sarge, you may follow his social media pages, where images of sick and orphaned animals that he takes in for rehabilitation are uploaded.
