A two-year-old Belgian Shepherd named Sherlock Bones, named after the great detective Sherlock Holmes is eagerly looking for a new home and partner in solving puzzles and riddles. The adorable dog has been recently put up for adoption with animal welfare charity RSPCA’s Bryn-y-Mean Animal Centre in Upper Colwyn Bay.
Sherlock has been described as an adorable crime-solver who loves to find treasures and play enrichment games to keep his mind active. Adopting him will definitely be fun but it will also be hard work as it will involve finding and deciphering clues and a lot of walks and training. That is why Sherlock needs a trusty sidekick who will be able to aid him in his journey and of course, someone who will have just as much fun as him.
But don’t worry because even though Sherlock loves playing detective, he is still very much a dog. That is why he needs quality playtime and cuddle time, lots of treats, and overflowing love and care.
The adopter should live within 90 minutes of the animal center in order for their team to conduct home visits. Sherlock can share the home with kids over age 14 and he should be the only pet in the household. The Bryn-y-Mean Animal Centre is encouraging people to adopt dogs like Sherlock who are in need instead of turning and shopping from breeders.
They also added that there’s a certain level of fulfillment from adopting someone in need and giving them a second chance in life. Aside from that, these dogs are assured to be healthy, vaccinated, and microchipped so you save yourself from unnecessary and expensive vet bills. They also provide the dog’s behavior details as well as veterinary treatment so that adopters are well-aware of the dog’s health.
Hopefully Sherlock gets him forever home soon.
