When DAR Animal Rescue received a call about puppies that were abandoned in a field, two of its rescuers responded immediately. They drove fast to get to the puppies because they knew how risky the area was. They simply had no time to waste.
Arriving at the said field, the rescuers quickly noticed there weren’t any residential houses within reach. The field itself was dull and blunt. It didn’t seem like people grew crops on it for quite a while. So surely, it was a perfect spot to abandon the puppies.
One of the furry siblings sat close to the water canal. One wrong step and it could have fallen into the ditch so the rescuers secured it immediately. Later on, they started searching for the rest of the puppies and found them lying in the bush.
The runt among the siblings was so afraid that it tried to hide under the bush. But when the rescuers scooped it up, it seemed to know that they were there to change their miserable fate. It didn’t fight back and simply let them do their job.
Once all five puppies were safe, it was time to go home. But before heading to the shelter, they took a pit stop at the vet’s clinic for medical care. They looked healthy but the rescuers needed to make sure they did not acquire any disease while they were in the field.
Everyone was alleviated when the vet revealed the furry siblings were in excellent health, even the runt. All they needed were some pills for deworming and vitamins to boost their health. But other than that, they were all good to go home.
The rescuers gave the puppies their own spot in the shelter. They also provided them with a cozy doghouse and a soft bed so they have a place to rest. They pledged to change their lives and they started to fulfill their promise by providing all the things they need to live comfortably.
The puppies are now under the care of DAR Animal Rescue. They are thriving and they continue to become healthy and happy puppies as days pass by. They are more than ready to start fresh and they wish to find their new homes soon enough.
