A relaxing and fun trip is what many people long for. They are usually planned with those whom we love and care about. But sometimes, time and unexpected events can turn things around very quickly.
A lovely nature-loving couple, who are also proud fur parents, planned a nice hike with their fur baby in the Juan de Fuca Trail along the southwestern coast of Vancouver Island. While enjoying the nice scenery around them, the couple didn’t notice their pup wander off without them. The couple tried looking for the pup, embarking on a search and rescue mission to locate their pup in the woods, but they came back unsuccessful.
Though the couple was disheartened as time passed by without finding their pup, they never lost hope that one day their beloved pup would come back to them. And after three months, their wish finally came true. The pup they thought was gone came running into their arms, thanks to two surfers.
Matty Johnson and his friend Zach Regan went on an overnight fishing and surfing adventure on their small boat in Vancouver Island. The friends expected a lot from their trip but were caught off guard by an unexpected discovery. While trying to find a refuge to get them through an incoming storm, Matty and Zach spotted a small pup hiding inside a cave.
The pup was skinny and was in a poor state. She was cold and shivering. The friends took pity on the pup and decided to do what they could to help the poor pup, so they gently and comfortingly coaxed her out of the cave, placed her on the surfboard, and brought her to their boat where they tried to make her warm.
The friends wrapped a surfboard bag around the pup and snuggled with her, comforting the pup and making her feel safe in their arms. As soon as they reached dry land, both Matty and Zach contacted ROAM, a non-profit organization aiming to reunite lost pets with their owners. And soon enough, they were able to reunite Stella, the pup, with her relieved parents! Nothing could compare to the happiness Stella and her parents felt after seeing each other again!
