A kind woman who lived in an apartment building in Ukraine spotted a family of dogs in the courtyard one day. She didn’t know where they emerged from, but because none of her neighbors owned a dog, she believed someone must have left them in the area. She felt sorry for them so she decided to take care of them by feeding them.
She felt sorry for the mama dog and her three puppies but because she didn’t have the capacity to adopt them, she decided to just keep an eye on them. She guaranteed that they had something to eat and drink every day, and she tried to keep them away from any trouble.
With the help of the kind lady, the mama dog was able to raise her puppies without trouble. The only home she could provide them, however, was the little gap between the ground and the shipping container. She kept her babies underneath the container van because it was the only place that stayed dry when it rained and the only spot where other people couldn’t reach them.
Besides the lady, two of her friends also took care of the furry family They gave them time and showed them kindness. Sadly, not everyone in the community felt the same. There were unhappy campers that wanted the dogs gone.
Concerned for the safety of the mama dog and the puppies, the ladies agreed to call for help. They contacted various organizations until they connected with Love Furry Friends Animal Rescue in the city. They spoke with the group’s lead rescuer and asked her to come and save the dog.
Without hesitations, the head rescuer agreed to help. She gathered her team and they drove fast to the rescue location. Once on-site, they took out some food and water for the family, and the momma dog came out and greeted them first.
The rescuers spent two hours luring the puppies out of their little den but they refused to budge. Eventually, the neighbors helped them and they were able to get all three to safety.
At last, the momma dog and her puppies were out of danger. They no longer had to stay under the container van. They found a safe place to stay until they were ready for their new homes.
