Luke, an Australian Shepherd puppy, behaves like any other human child. But, since relocating to his new home a few months ago, he’s been causing as much trouble as he can. He enjoys biting on whatever he can get his paws on, especially if he knows it isn’t for him.
Most dogs feel obligated to dress up in whatever wacky costumes their owners come up with for Halloween. Luke, on the other hand, despises being told what to do. Luke’s mother, Becca Ann Hoerner, was well aware of this, which is why she rarely leaves the naughty puppy alone. She felt it was safe to leave him at home for 15 minutes one day, but she was mistaken.
Luke intended to create as much trouble as he could in the given 15 minutes. But this year, he wanted to pick his own Halloween costume. As a result, Luke swiftly decided to wear a lantern decoration, which fit precisely over his head after chewing through the bottom. The only real problem was that he couldn’t get rid of it.
After much laughter and photos, Hoerner ultimately assisted Luke in removing the pumpkin from his head. You’d think he’d learned his lesson by then, but he hadn’t.
The presence of a giant pumpkin head could annoy some dogs, but Luke remained unconcerned. He was just as joyful and enthusiastic with the pumpkin on as he was without it. When his parents came, he rushed to greet them, peeking through the pumpkin’s eyeholes rather than attempting to remove it.
Hoerner is afraid to leave Luke alone again because Luke most likely leaped on the table to take the pumpkin the last time they left the house. But, unfortunately, the stem had been eaten off before he got his head stuck.
What is Luke’s next misadventure going to be? He wasn’t the only time he got into mischief. Perhaps he’ll find a more admirable costume to wear soon.
