To most dogs, going for a walk is the highlight of their day. They enjoy being able to play outside and breathe a variety of different scents. Walks can be enjoyable for all dogs, including those who are unable to walk on their own.
The same thing happened for a man in Nova Scotia, Canada, and his paralyzed dog. He built a comfortable wagon so that his dog could continue to enjoy her frequent walks. He claims that he is confident that she will do the same for him.
On a walk through Shubie Park, Bryan Thompson came across this man and his dog. He saw a man walking through the snow with a special wagon trailing behind him. A white dog was curled up among the warm blankets inside the wagon.
It was the most touching scene Thompson had ever seen. He was immediately interested in learning more about this kind man and his happy dog.
Thompson turned to the man and his canine companion and struck up a conversation with him. The man demonstrated that his beloved dog suffers from ALS or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It’s a spinal cord disease that causes dogs to become paralyzed. As a result, the poor dog cannot stand independently, but her father did not want this to be a barrier to her success.
As a result, the caring dog father built a cozy wagon for his beloved pet. He wants to make sure she could continue to take her regular walks as comfortably as possible. He’ll never let her miss out on anything exciting.
When Thompson learned of this, he became very emotional. He’d never seen a relationship quite like the one between this man and his dog. According to him, people should treat dogs in this manner.
Thompson wanted to post the story on Facebook after this emotional experience. During their conversation, he took pictures of the man and his dog, but the man requested that his identity not be disclosed.
Thompson posted three cute pictures of the two friends walking together, along with what he had seen. It received nearly 48,000 likes and 50,000 shares in a short time.
This one simple act of kindness helped to bring joy to a large number of people on the internet. Hopefully, this man would teach the rest of the world how to take care of dogs properly. After all, when he says that our dogs will do the same for us, he is right.
