Hope for Paws is a popular nonprofit rescue organization that has built a huge following online. The videos of their rescue operations have garnered tens of millions of views. This has helped them expand their operations and get reports of animals in need.
Brenda and Janeth Alonso are sisters residing in Los Angeles, and they have been following the group’s Youtube channel. When they saw a scared homeless Maltipoo in their neighborhood, they knew exactly who to call.
Eldad Hagar, one of the rescue organization’s founders, immediately responded to the call, even if it was already late at night.
Buddy
When Eldad arrived at the area, the scared dog saw him right away and darted towards a narrow space between a chainlink fence and a wall. There was no way for the rescuer to squeeze himself through the deep alley. While he pondered his options, he closed off the entryway with a collapsible fence.
Fortunately, Brenda and Janeth arrived, and they knew the person living in the house where the fence stood. They explained the situation, and the property owner agreed to let them in. Eventually, they got the small pooch to move towards the other end. There they were able to snare him.
Although the dog was visibly frightened, they got him to calm down after a while. They suggested that they call him Buddy. They then took him inside Eldad’s car.
Lucky pooch
Once they were back in the group’s facility, the first thing they did was to give Buddy a warm bath. A health checkup, later on, showed some great news. The pup was free from any major health conditions. He was then moved to a foster home.
It didn’t take long for Buddy to come out of his shell. He had an amazing character, and everyone instantly fell for him. That is why in just a matter of days, he found his forever home.
