Girl Who Is Allergic To Dogs Finally Gets A Rescue Dog That She Can Keep

It was Violet’s endless wish to get a dog that she can take care of and keep in the house. When she was younger, she was obsessed with her grandparents’ dog Bailey. That was why it came as no surprise that her first word was the word ‘dog’ instead of the usual mom and dad.

But the sad thing was Violet was allergic to dogs. She can’t pet them without putting herself at risk and it pained her parents to see that she can’t freely pet and hug dogs like she wanted to. Especially that her little sister Maisie could do so. And so her father, Matt, went on an adventure of finding Violet the perfect dog.

The perfect dog that Matt wanted for her daughter was a purebred dog because luckily, Violet did not have any allergic reaction to them. She was totally fine with them but the problem was that it would be hard to get one from a breeder. Additionally, it was very important to Matt, his wife, and also Violet that they get a rescue dog.

So he started calling shelters and taking a chance. One day, Matt happened to talk to Michelle from Cassie’s Place Rescue. The first call did not have actual good news. But after a few weeks, Michelle called back again to deliver the good news that she thinks she may have found them the perfect dog.

Her name was Chloe, a Maltese who was found astray in West Texas. She was around two to three years old and she loves car rides and children. Matt was so happy with the news and he decided to share it with his children by showing them pictures of the dog.

He asked his girls if they thought the puppy was cute and they said yes and that was when he revealed that it was going to be their dog. The two were very happy and they prepared everything for Chloe – her food, her leash, and of course her bed. On the day of the adoption, Matt drove to meet Chloe and it was like an instant bond was there and she just sat on Matt’s lap the whole drive.

Chloe totally changed the life of Violet. They would always be seen just cuddling together watching TV or reading books. They even slept together. It was just a lovely story to witness that a girl who was allergic to dogs finally found one that she could take care of and keep.
