One winter, a man in Kansas City, Missouri observed a discarded box on the icy ground. He checked it out of sheer curiosity and found two frozen puppies inside that were not moving at all.
The man brought the two freezing little puppies to KC Pet Project’s facility despite not knowing if they would survive. The mission of KC Pet Project is to save animals’ lives.
When the helpful man arrived at the shelter, the staff immediately administered the necessary medical care to the two puppies. The veterinarians worked hard to keep the pups warm and hydrated.
On their official Facebook page, KC Pet Project expressed gratitude to the kind individual who spotted the box in an abandoned lot. The shelter employees also praised him for going above and beyond by rushing the puppies to them so the animals could receive the necessary care.
In addition to appreciating the man’s courage, the shelter employees commended the veterinarians who worked valiantly to restore the puppies’ body temperatures. They also thanked the members of the canine care team who brought the puppies home for nighttime observation and care.
Even though the majority of staff were concerned about the puppies’ life, they were pleased to announce that their united efforts saved the animals. They were delighted to hear that the puppies slept through the night, ate in the morning, and relaxed throughout the day.
Before transferring the puppies to a foster home for recovery, the volunteers claimed they would continue to monitor their health for a few more days. As soon as the pups have fully recovered in their foster home, the puppies will be put up for adoption.
The KC Pet Project expressed gratitude for all of the generous donations to their Roadrunner Medical Fund, which allowed them to continue assisting stray and abandoned animals.
