During this pandemic, many people have been lucky to get the option and luxury of working from the comfort of their homes — but there are others who aren’t that fortunate. Some jobs can’t be handled from home, and one such job is being a FedEx driver.
Recently, when a local puppy daycare closed down due to the pandemic, a puppy owner named Daniel Nava had a lot to worry about. It was not possible for Daniel, a FedEx driver, to stay at home to look after his two puppies.
But Daniel came up with a simple yet brilliant idea to look after his pups. The puppy owner decided to bring his canine buddies to work.
Daniel’s two Dachshund puppies named Chorizo and Cocoa have been living with him since they were only eight weeks old. Both the dogs are around two years old now, and despite not being direct siblings, the two love each other and are inseparable.
Daniel told reporters that he always wanted to have Dachshunds as his pets, but when he started looking, they were not easy to find. But then he came across a pet store advertisement about a Dachshund puppy, and he got the pup from the store and named him Chorizo. After getting Chorizo, Daniel decided to make Cocoa, who belonged to Daniel’s mother in law’s friend, a part of his family as well.
It had become Daniel’s everyday routine to drop off the two Dachshunds at the puppy daycare center every morning, but then the pandemic happened, and the daycare ceased functioning. He could not leave his pups at home on their own, so he decided to bring them to work.
Now Daniel is not a one-person team anymore. Chorizo and Cocoa have joined him as his sidekicks.
